Min says govt mulls NWF funds investment threshold to 10%

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is still discussing when the threshold of the liquid part of the National Wealth Fund (NWF), above which its money can be invested, may be raised to 10% of GDP, Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Kolychev told reporters on Tuesday.

“Still under discussion in the government,” Kolychev said when asked about implementation timing, adding that the timing will most likely depend on the oil prices. “According to the current forecasts prepared by the Economic Development Ministry, it is by 2024.”

President Vladimir Putin ordered the government to look into raising the NWF funds investment threshold to 10% from the current 7% on October 1.
